My daughter was just diagnosed with SB. She is three years old. She has had severe problems with her bowels since birth. It was so bad that she stopped eating and had to have a feeding tube. She had a cecostomy in July . That is not working. Her bowels just don't move. She had her tethered cord surgery last week and now her bladder is not working. This is my question. They want to put in a superpubic cath in NEXT WEEK! I don't much about it. Can any one give me some information?

A superpubic cath is inserted in to the bladder with a bag attached to the end of the tube. When the tube is in the bladder, it automaticily empties the urine
from the bladder in to the bag when there is urine in the bladder. The bag can be emptied in to the toilet, when it's full.
