I am a pediatric physical therapist in North Carolina, who recently started a support group for people/families with spina bifida. We have already had one meeting, which went really well, and are having our next meeting at 6:00 on October 16th in Raleigh, NC. We are working with the National Spina Bifida Assoc. to hopefully become a state chapter and we have the support of UNC and Duke myelo clinics along with the March of Dimes. Our group is focusing on adaptive programs (dance/sports), equipment exchanges, fundraising, and family networking.
